Prepare for Your Hike

Before hiking it is recommended you obtain a brochure with map from the Coeur d'Alene Parks Department. Phone: (208) 769-2252.

This award winning two mile loop trail features outstanding scenic viewpoints, woodland habitats, and historical focal points. The self-guided walk follows the "loop trail" markers and begins at the trailhead located at the south end of the parking lot between McEuen Park and the Coeur d'Alene Resort (3rd and Front Street) in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Wooden trail markers like these guide hikers along the way.

Numbered markers, 8 inches by 10 inches in size and posted about 8 feet high, mark points of interest which correspond with a free informational brochure on Tubbs Hill which is available through the Coeur d'Alene Parks Department.

It is recommended that hikers allow about 2 hours, wear comfortable shoes, and bring drinking water. The trail is rocky and steep in some areas.

Leashed dogs are permitted
Complimentary scooper bags are provided at trail entries.
